Nutritional Supplement Help with Pancreatic Cancer

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Question: From Olivier

My mother has pancreatic cancer. I have found a product that is a mix of minerals that I believe can heal my mother (at least 2 people with pancreatic cancer healed with it).
It is at: http://www.healthhouse.co.nz/CAA%20capsule%20ingredients.html

Now, I dont want to debate that part. I believe it can heal. That’s it. That’s not my issue.

The problem is, they have refined the product (capsule) over the years, and sadly, they have added vitamins. And synthetic vitamins (anything beside real food) have been proven to accelerate pancreatic cancer/tumors.

So my dilemma is I would like to have that supplement, but without all the vitamins. Just the minerals, which they list with the exact quantity – in a sort of custom pill, or at least a pill/source of each and have my mother take those together, for the same effect – just without the fr–ing ‘killing’ vitamins.
And I would want those minerals to be the chelated as natural as possible.

Can you please please tell me if its possible and sources where to get individual ingredients, or have them put together?

Please help me. My mother is all I have.

Thanks so much, for whatever honest answers you will give me.

Best regards
Olivier

Negative Wild Yam Studies Are Only Half The Story

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Question: From Megan

Could you please give me your thoughts on Wild Yam. I have been told by several female friends that it is an excellent natural alternative for helping with menstrual complications. But when I did some internet searches I came across only negative statements/studies.

Thanks

Response From Brett:

Hi Megan

Thanks for your question. I know I have written about this before but haven’t been able to locate that reader’s question.

Anyway, I know what you mean! The wild yam content you would have come across is typical of what’s happening on the web nowadays. Unqualified people posting content on which they have no idea whether it is factual, incomplete or predominantly wrong. These people are simply doing internet searches themselves and then copying/re-wording the mistakes of other unqualified website authors.

Wild Yam is an extremely useful medicinal herb for women! It is a precursor (to human sex hormones) able to help with menstrual cramps/pain, hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms.

Much of the negative content you probably came across about Wild Yam’s oestrogenic effects is quite misleading (clinical studies for traditional Wild Yam are difficult to come across outside of a laboratory conversion.)
